Happy "6 month" Birthday!

It's our baby's day today, well, it's her day Everyday ;)

She's growing up sooo fast it is unbelieveable!

She just went in for her well check appt on the 8th.

She is 17lbs 5.9oz

and 26 1/2"

She's doing well and has just had her first bites of rice cereal yesterday morning

and she is doing fantastic!

Sippy Cup

Well, she's not a pro yet...

BUT she is finally wanting to drink from her cup!

She reaches for it when I have it in my hand, pulls it to her and puts it in her mouth.

She tries super hard, but in the process makes a mess.
I'm thinking we need a video of this :)

Bright Idea

Who's Bright Idea was it to start Madilynn on a
"training cup" at barely 5 months?!

Ok, I confess it was ME!

I started her with 2 1/2 oz and that went down easy peasy!
Well, I decided why not dump the rest of her bottle into the training cup....BAD IDEA!
She saw the bottle and when I gave her the cup,
she fussed, squirmed, drank some,
spit out, cried, drank some more and repeated!
She had more on her bib than in her tummy...
oh what a fiasco!!

Needless to say, I put it back into her bottle, finished feeding her,
cleaned her up (and me too!) and put her in her jumper!

From then on she was full of

SMILES!

Don't worry, we will try again tomorrow...
Yes, I am brave! heheheh.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

My Rose Bud

 We went to the Doctor for her well check appt. this morning.

She is growing so unbelievably fast!

She weighs in at 14 lbs 7.1oz, right on track! 25 3/8" long, just a bit tall.
Doc says that could change once she starts walking.
Tho, I didn't dare ask if that meant she would be taller ;P

JUMPING!

Did you know that kids activity toys are so much fun to put together?!
I highly recommend it ;P

We recently got her an activity jumper thingy....She really LOVES it!

She wasn't too sure at first,

but now...
stares and touches with curiosity, squeals with delight,
 and her lil toes touch the floor.

Back to Tummy and Back again!

Well, she did it! This afternoon, Madilynn Rose finally went from her back to her tummy and over to her back again :) She did it so nonchalantly, I almost didn't notice...and then she gave me the look as if to say

"What Mom, I just rolled over."

Tonight, is the first night I am putting her to bed in her big girl crib. It's hard,  I'm so use to having her right next to me when she sleeps....It's time, she's getting to tall for her co-sleeper.
Wish me luck, for she doesn't need it ;P

Sitting Up?!

Madilynn just turned 4 months this past Sunday and by Tuesday she surprised us by sitting up!

Ok, sorta ;P

She is working on it by leaning forward. She holds her balance for a bit,

but when she tries to go higher....TIMBER....she falls over. It's super cute!

Since I couldn't get one....

Back from the DR's

Back from Madilynn's Dr and she has already passed out on her Daddy...

it's too cute!

Just a quick update! 

She weighed in at 11 lbs 11.5 oz

24 1/2" long

41" head

Picnic

Today we had a picnic at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont.

I almost got took out by the wild ducks there...they were HUGE and chasing me!

Once we found a new spot (duck free), we enjoyed our lunch and Madilynn played til she past out in the nice breeze and I soon followed ;)

AND

I tried to get a family photo, but it just turned out silly as you can see ;P

Poor Madilynn was crying, Tom was pinching her (it's totally an inside joke) and he blinked and I was the ONLY one looking for this BEAUTIFUL portrait I was trying to take ;oP

PS Yes, the bangs are BRAND Spanking New!
